Chorus Opportunity

Dear 4th and 5th Grade Parents,

In the spring, all elementary schools in OC participate in Oconee County Honor Chorus.  Each school sends 26 students to join together in a mass chorus to rehearse and perform several high-level chorus pieces.  As it has been in the past, this group will be auditioned.  Students will be asked to sing “Happy Birthday” and complete a couple of vocal exercises for their audition.  Please note that this is a completely different group than Chorus Club, and ANY 4th or 5th graders may audition.  Upon selection, the cost to participate in Honor Chorus is $30-35 per student (to be announced when I receive the official amount), and this cost includes t-shirt, music, facilities, director and accompanist for the honor chorus event, and a snack on the day of the rehearsal/concert.   When selected, our 26 students will be rehearsing in the RBES music room on Fridays* in February and the first Friday in March until 4:00 PM.  *This is a change in rehearsal day from the form that some students brought home yesterday*

A quick version of the information is below.  I hope to see many students audition for this great opportunity!

Changing StoryWorks Student Password

When I initially set up the student access to StoryWorks, I was provided a computer generated passcode that I couldn't change.  Now I have the ability to change it, so I wanted to make it a little bit easier for the students to remember.  The link to digital StoryWorks is below.  The new passcode is: rbes4.
